
Unlike any single person a server needs to stay up 24 hours a day 7 days a week and you may not always be around to respond to problems with the server.
The proactive monitor part of our server management allows you to not worry about if your server is down or having problems. By default we monitor server load, server disk space usage, http (80), email (port 25), ftp (port 21), and ssh (port 22).
We can also monitor additional services such as MySQL by request. While monitoring we check the server every minute using 2 different servers.
Upon notification that a particular service or server is down we will login and do what is necessary to get it back online as soon as possible. This may include changing server configurations, submitting and following up with reboot tickets, or any number of other things.
